We are seeking a skilled and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department in maintaining smooth and efficient business operations. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in both administrative and strategic responsibilities, playing a key part in essential HR functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits management.
Human Resources Generalist Essential Functions & Duties Summary:
Provide support in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
Coordinates new hire process for managing staff including orientation and new hire paperwork
Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Director of Human Resources as needed
Ability to answer employee questions and or concerns regarding Human Resource policy, procedures, or employee handbook interpretations
Assists Managers and/or Supervisors with employee inquiries, performance review process, coaching, counseling, and terminations
Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
Participates in the Wellness committee and implements ideas to improve wellness events and communication of resources to employees
Broad knowledge of safety, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and organizational planning
Working knowledge of benefits and compensation programs
Administers leave of absences including, short-term disability, long-term disability, and FMLA
Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
Operates ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need
Human Resources Generalist Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices required
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Understands the needs of timely recruitment strategies
Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Salary $23.00 to $29.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
